The Globe Theatre Model

The post-PC era as Ray Ozzie "

well worth reading Ray Ozzie memo written by Ray Ozzie coincide with his departure as "Chief Software Architect" at Microsoft . Speech, especially the post PC era with precision and intelligence, without the chatter that Microsoft intends to bury a couple of years, but knowing that the future of business in the IT industry goes through other devices and to be always connected and synchronized with each other.

Of the 3500 words of Ozzie I would stay with his analysis of how Microsoft has implemented its plans in recent years and the role of complexity in product success past, present and future. Despite much efforts to try to reinforce that he drove (more interoperability

, Azure, Office 365 ), also conveys a certain disillusionment with the objectives not achieved (as a failed project Mesh ) regarding the complexity points to it as the great cancer in developing solutions, but also as a factor hindering change to businesses and individuals (something that Today is an asset of Microsoft) and that in this post PC era inevitably going to be disappearing: the simplest devices that are interchangeable thanks to the synchronization and cloud services.

not clear how much is left for Ozzie at Microsoft and what their next destination, but certainly I reaffirm what we discussed just a week ago, lost a visionary, and visionaries in this industry there are good few.
